Our History

Climatech was founded in 1972 by Mitchell Taback. Specializing in the installation and service of residential equipment, the company spent most of the 1970s filling a void of professional, quality-oriented contractors in the Pittsburgh market. It was that same dedication to providing excellent service and quality workmanship that propelled Climatech into the commercial marketplace.

In 2005 the company transitioned to the second generation. Brad Taback, President and CEO, has positioned Climatech to continue to move forward in the 21st Century as a leader in the markets we serve.

Climatech started as, and remains today, a full-service HVACR provider. We specialize in a complete range of products and services, including the design and installation of new systems, retrofits of existing systems, comprehensive maintenance programs, and unparalleled 24/7 emergency service.

Our outstanding reputation in our markets comes from the dedication and commitment to excellence which is represented in all of our 150 plus employees.

I was called back promptly- explained the rate and they were there within 2 hours on a holiday weekend Saturday late afternoon- I was blown away! Knowledgeable and respectful diagnosed and got my older Central Air working while we didn’t know for how long. Still working on Monday they priced a total replacement. I decided to do it, and by 5 days later I had a new warrantied HVAC system that is amazing. Respectful, courteous and amazing finish work through cement basement walls. Mike, who gave us the estimate, was knowledgeable and inspired a lot of confidence in their process and workmanship. Al and Mitch showed up early each day to execute the installation and did a great job. Climatech was not the least-expensive quote that we got, but when you put such significant investment into your home, it's important to have it done right.

My old AC condenser broke in the middle of a heat wave. They responded quickly and found installed a new condenser for me within one day. And the price was fair. Can’t ask for more than that.
